Stratená
Originally a mining village, in which the Csáky family had blast furnaces built in 1723 that were later purchased by the Coburgs. The last active blast furnace worked until 1927. The chapel which was built around 1800 is decorated by master Pál Lőcsei's plastic arts. The Stratena natural reserve can be found nearby with deep valleys and high ridges which are
Covered by forests even the most extreme places.
Currently 120 people live in the village, mainly the tourists live here because of its calm and peaceful area.
The purity of the air is measured in several places in Slovakia, here also. The purest air is measured here every year, which is indicated by the plants that can be found in the area (Gentian).
